Rafting on the Humber

Discover the legend behind Shellbird Island’s buried treasure and hear tales of pirates. Explore riverside caves, and witness some of the 20,000 salmon that make their journey up this river each year. Itinerary

  • Introduction to the natural history and geology of the Humber Valley
  • Stop at Shellbird Island, the location of buried treasure as we enjoy a nutrition break
  • Float through the rolling waves below Shellbird Island and continue down the river
  • Stop beside the “Man in the Mountain” rock formation for a photo opportunity
  • Continue floating down the river past numerous riverside waterfalls, caves, and rock formations
