Lodge Package - South West River (4 Days)

Atlantic salmon and brook fly fishing can be made possible on this unique beautifully sculptured river. Accessible via Burgeo highway.
This turbulent stream rumbles through such scenery, it is hard to keep your eye on the fishing. There is canyon like features, amongst the mountain terrain.
The river is about thirty-km long to a waterfall that ends the legally fishable waters. There are many deep pools where fish like to hide. The river is known to have around 2000 + salmon in its annual run. Grilse are 2.5 to 4 pounds. First runs are usually around May early June. The main runs begin late June and usually slow by the end of July.
What a way to spend a day. Put on a good pair of waders, and hope for a good run of salmon. Balancing on the large boulders, which line the river, will be your biggest challenge unless you hook the big one.
Early morning and late evenings, anglers have often seen salmon running and jumping, as they make their way up the stream as they fight the turbulent boulder South West River.
