Bear Lake Lodge Ride

The route will travel up Snug Harbour Hill and along North Lake Road to Bottomless pond, then exit on to Bear Lake Road arriving at Bear Lake in time for supper. This 5 to 6 hour ride.
After breakfast, it’ll be time to begin the return trek home via Old Goose Arm Road. A picnic style lunch will be provided, The trail once again joins Snug Harbour Hill. From this vantage, you can view the Town of Deer Lake.
The Wilderness Horizons Lodge sits overlooking Bear Lake in Goose Arm. This “A” frame lodge has six sleeping rooms, each with two single beds, a full shared bathroom with hot shower and bath, kitchen, dining area and cozy living area where you can curl up by the wood stove.

Jeans – We suggest 1 pair for riding and another for camp
Riding Boots – a boot with a heal or a narrow style works best
Sneakers – or an extra pair of shoes for camp
Gloves – leather lined or suede gloves provide protection with a sure grip
Clothing that is easily layer works best for Newfoundland’s mother nature.

Riding Helmets – must be worn by riders under 18 years of age. A cowboy hat or
baseball hat is fine for those who are over 18 years of age.
